Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director of NLC India Limited, has been awarded the prestigious “Pride of Telangana” honour at the 4th Telangana Public Relations Conference held in Hyderabad on April 19.
The award ceremony, organised by the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI), Hyderabad Chapter, witnessed the presence of eminent dignitaries including K. Sreenivas Reddy, Chairman of the Media Academy of Telangana, IAS officer Priyanka from the Information & Public Relations Department, and noted academician Prof. K. Nageswar.
A native of Bhadrachalam, Motupalli dedicated the recognition to the entire NLC India team. The award acknowledges his leadership and contributions in driving the company’s growth across lignite mining, thermal power generation, and renewable energy sectors.
Under his leadership, NLC India Limited has significantly expanded its operational capacity, embraced sustainability initiatives, and strengthened its position as a leading Navratna PSU. The company currently supplies around 400 MW of power to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, playing a vital role in regional energy security.
Motupalli also highlighted the company’s focus on innovation, digital transformation, and community welfare, reinforcing its commitment to nation-building and inclusive growth.
