In a major development for Assam’s bureaucracy, nine officers from the State Civil Service (SCS) have been promoted to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) as part of the Select List of 2022. These officers have been allocated to the Joint Assam-Meghalaya Cadre, reinforcing administrative strength in the region.
The officers promoted to IAS include Neera Daulagupu, Gayatri Bori, Reena Mech, Thai Tsho Daw Daulagupu, Mahmod Hassan, Dipa Das, Pranab Kumar Sarmah, Farida Samsul, and Gitimoni Phukan. Their elevation is expected to enhance governance and policy implementation in Assam and Meghalaya, fostering regional development.
