New assignments for eight IPS officers in Tamil Nadu

The Tamil Nadu government has issued new assignments for eight Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. Mrs. Seema Agrawal has been appointed as Director General of Police (DGP)/Director, Fire & Rescue Services. Rupesh Kumar Meena, currently serving as Inspector General of Police (IGP), Civil Supplies, CID, Chennai, will additionally assume the role of DGP, Civil Supplies, CID.

Other key appointments include Vijayendra S Bidari as IGP and Additional Commissioner of Police, Headquarters, Greater Chennai; Kapil Kumar C Saratkar as IGP, Enforcement, Chennai; and G Karthikeyan as IGP and Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Greater Chennai. Additionally, Santosh Kumar has been named IGP, Economic Offences Wing, Chennai; Mrs. M Sathiya Priya takes over as IGP, Welfare, in the Office of the DGP/Head of Police Force (HoPF), Chennai; and Dr. M Durai has been posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP), Headquarters, Office of the DGP/HoPF.
