In a significant administrative reshuffle, several senior officers have been appointed to new positions across Odisha, particularly in the culturally significant district of Puri.
IPS officer Pinak Mishra has been appointed as the Superintendent of Police (SP), Puri. Known for his effective policing, Mishra’s new role comes at a time when the district continues to draw heavy footfall due to its religious and tourism significance. His appointment is expected to further bolster law enforcement and public safety in the region.
Joining him in Puri, IAS officer Chanchal Rana has assumed the position of Collector and District Magistrate (DM). Tasked with overseeing governance and developmental projects, Rana’s entry is likely to inject renewed administrative energy into the district’s day-to-day affairs.
At the state level, IPS officer Vinit Agrawal has been posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at the State Police Headquarters (PHQ) in Odisha. With a background in policing and strategic operations, his posting is aimed at strengthening the administrative backbone of the state police apparatus.
Additionally, Siddharth Shankar Swain has been appointed as OSD in the General Administration Department (GAD). His expertise is expected to contribute to smoother execution of state-level policies and improved governance mechanisms within the department.
These fresh appointments reflect Odisha’s commitment to administrative efficiency and public service delivery, particularly in high-priority districts like Puri.
