Phase-II campus to be developed at a cost of Rs.180cr. approximately
NBCC (India) Limited has been entrusted with the Phase–II infrastructure development of the permanent campus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur, Odisha.
NBCC has already executed the Phase-I infrastructure development IIM Sambalpur, which was inaugurated on 03.02.2024 by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. The Phase-II development is expected to be at a cost of Rs.180cr. approximately.
The ambitious Phase–II development envisions a future-ready, integrated academic and residential ecosystem, blending cutting-edge technology, sustainability and world-class campus planning. The project includes construction of a G+2 Academic Block with advanced classrooms and faculty cabins, supported by seven hostels six G+5 and one G+3 designed for single and double occupancy, ensuring modern, comfortable living for students.
Strengthening campus life beyond academics, the development features a Mess & Dining Block, Sports Complex, Central Store and a Cricket Field equipped with High Mast Lighting.
Elevating the campus experience further, the scope also includes a 4-hole Golf Course, Swimming Pool, Greenhouse, Organic Farming & Nursery facilities, pond development and beautification, and extensive site development works, including a peripheral road along the campus boundary.
The project integrates robust core infrastructure such as an Underground Water Tank (UGT), a 100 KLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), and a 2000 KVA, 33/0.433 KV Substation with Control Room, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and long-term operational resilience.
Designed to achieve a prestigious GRIHA 5-Star rating, the campus will stand as a benchmark in sustainable institutional development. BIM-based monitoring will be deployed throughout execution to drive precision, efficiency and transparency in project delivery.
NBCC’s scope further encompasses end-to-end electrical systems, earthing and lightning protection, VRV/VRF-based HVAC solutions, plumbing and sanitary installations, and comprehensive fire safety systems, all seamlessly integrated through a state-of-the-art Integrated Building Management System (IBMS).
Upon completion, the Phase–II infrastructure will deliver a smart, sustainable, and globally competitive campus, strengthening IIM Sambalpur’s academic vision while showcasing NBCC’s unmatched expertise in executing complex, high-impact educational infrastructure projects across the country.
