In a major stride toward reshaping India’s academic infrastructure, NBCC (India) Limited, the Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, has been appointed Project Management Consultant for an ambitious expansion of the Energy Institute, Bengaluru—the southern campus of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT). Valued at approximately Rs. 44 crore, the project will redefine sustainable campus design over a 125-hectare sprawl in Kambalipura, near Bengaluru.
The development includes modern institutional structures, eco-conscious residences for faculty and students, high-tech hostels, and dignitary guest accommodations—all interwoven with smart systems and green building features. NBCC’s holistic project approach includes everything from architectural design to statutory clearances.
With climate-responsive materials, solar energy, and rainwater harvesting systems at its core, the campus is envisioned as a flagship example of India’s green education future.
