NBCC (India) Limited, a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), has earned two prestigious GRIHA 5-Star Ratings at the 17th GRIHA Summit held at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The recognition was conferred for NBCC’s flagship projects — Vanijya Bhawan and Kaushal Bhawan — both of which exemplify sustainable design and green construction excellence.
The awards were presented by Srinivas Katikithala, Secretary, MoHUA, and received by K. P. Mahadevaswamy, Chairman and Managing Director, NBCC. The company was also felicitated as a GRIHA partner, reaffirming its commitment to India’s sustainable development goals.
Mahadevaswamy praised GRIHA’s efforts in advancing sustainability in the built environment and highlighted NBCC’s eco-friendly projects, including East Kidwai Nagar Redevelopment, AIIMS Nagpur and Kalyani campuses, and the Vigyan Bhawan Annexe Extension, all certified with high GRIHA ratings. Notably, the Bharat Mandapam (IECC), venue of the G20 Summit 2023, holds a GRIHA 4-Star Rating.
With a vision aligned to India’s Net Zero 2070 target, NBCC continues to champion green infrastructure, energy efficiency, and climate-resilient development across the country.
