Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS officers have emerged with a dominant presence at the Centre, as 10 officers have secured appointments as Secretaries. Pankaj Agrawal now heads the Ministry of Power, while Deepti Gaur Mukherjee has taken charge of Corporate Affairs. V L Kantha Rao is appointed in the Mines Ministry, and Neelam Sahmi Rao will oversee the Textiles portfolio. In animal welfare, Alka Upadhyay now serves as Secretary, Animal Husbandry.
Additional appointments include Manoj Govil in the Cabinet Secretariat, Aashish Srivastav in the Inter-State Council, and Vivek Agrawal in the Ministry of Culture. Youth-centric roles have been entrusted to Pallavi Jain Govil (Youth Affairs) and Hari Ranjan Rao (Sports). This marks a significant elevation of MP cadre influence in national governance.
