MHA orders transfer of IPS Vikas Gupta from Jammu & Kashmir to Goa

Srinagar: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has ordered the immediate transfer of 2010-batch IPS officer Vikas Gupta from Jammu & Kashmir to Goa, as per an official order issued by the Union Government.

According to the MHA order issued from Kartavya Bhavan, New Delhi, Vikas Gupta, an AGMUT-cadre IPS officer, has been transferred to Goa with immediate effect. The posting will remain in force until further orders, following approval from the competent authority.

Gupta, a member of the 2010 batch of the AGMUT cadre, has held several important police and administrative positions during his tenure in Jammu & Kashmir. His transfer comes as part of the Centre’s ongoing administrative deployment and management of AGMUT-cadre officers across different Union Territories.

The AGMUT cadre covers officers serving across Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and Union Territories, including Jammu & Kashmir and Delhi. Transfers and postings of its officers are periodically undertaken by the Central Government based on administrative requirements.
