Yogi Adityanath government shuffles 46 IAS officers across Uttar Pradesh

In a major bureaucratic shake-up, the Government of Uttar Pradesh has transferred and assigned 46 IAS officers to new key administrative positions across the state. The large-scale reshuffle aims to strengthen governance and improve administrative efficiency in various departments and districts.

  • Top-Level Appointments

Bal Krishna Tripathi has been appointed as Secretary, General Administration Department, while Rajesh Prakash will now serve as Divisional Commissioner, Vindhyachal.
Mrs. Dhanalakshmi K has been named Director General, Fisheries Department.
Sanjay Kumar, currently serving as Director General, Public Enterprises, has been given additional charge as Secretary, Uttar Pradesh State Human Rights Commission.

  • New Divisional and Departmental Roles

Dr. Rupesh Kumar has been posted as Divisional Commissioner, Saharanpur, and Atal Kumar Rai will take charge as Secretary, Home Department.
Bhanu Chandra Goswami has been appointed Divisional Commissioner, Meerut, while Dr. Hrishikesh Bhaskar Yashod becomes Secretary, Revenue and Consolidation Commissioner, Uttar Pradesh.
Mayur Maheshwari will now serve as Managing Director, UP State Electricity Generation Corporation and UP Power Transmission Corporation Limited.

  • Additional Key Transfers

Vijay Kiran Anand, Secretary, Infrastructure and Industrial Development Department, has been assigned additional charge as CEO, UP State Industrial Development Authority, CEO, Lucknow Industrial Development Authority (LIDA), and in-charge of the NRI Cell.
Rahul Pandey takes over as Special Secretary, State Tax Department, while Atul Vats becomes District Magistrate, Hathras.
Amandeep Duli has been appointed Additional Commissioner, MNREGA, UP, and Himanshu Nagpal is now Municipal Commissioner, Varanasi.

  • District Magistrate Appointments

Several officers have been assigned as new District Magistrates (DMs) across Uttar Pradesh:

  • Rajaganpati R – Sitapur
  • Mrs. Kritika Jyotsna – Basti
  • Pulkit Garg – Chitrakoot
  • Ashwini Kumar Pandey – Shravasti
  • Ajay Kumar Dwivedi – Rampur
  • Vipin Kumar Jain – Balrampur
  • Satya Prakash – Lalitpur
  • Amit Pal – Kaushambi

Additionally, Ravish Gupta, DM of Basti, has been transferred as Managing Director, Western Power Distribution Corporation, Meerut.

  • Other Significant Postings

Mrs. Isha Duhan has been appointed Managing Director, UP Cooperative Sugar Mills Association Limited; Kumar Vineet as Special Secretary, Youth Welfare and Sports Department; and Pawan Agarwal as Special Secretary, Home Department.
Purna Vohra is the new Vice Chairman, Varanasi Development Authority, while Rishi Raj has been posted as Vice Chairman, Prayagraj Development Authority.
Nand Kishore Kalaal takes over as Vice Chairman, Ghaziabad Development Authority, and Anurag Jain becomes Vice Chairman, Ayodhya Development Authority.
Mrs. Gunjan Dwivedi has been given dual charge as Municipal Commissioner, Firozabad, and Vice Chairman, Firozabad-Shikohabad Development Authority.
Ms. Akanksha Rana will serve as Municipal Commissioner, Jhansi.

  • Development and Administrative Roles

The reshuffle also includes several new Chief Development Officers (CDOs) and Special Secretaries:
Prakhar Kumar Singh (CDO, Varanasi), Yogendra Kumar (CDO, Aligarh), Ranvijay Singh (CDO, Bijnor), Ms. Vandita Srivastava (CDO, Kushinagar), Mahendra Kumar Singh (CDO, Rampur), Gulab Chandra (CDO, Maharajganj), and Sachin Kumar Singh (CDO, Amethi).
Devendra Kumar Singh Kushwaha becomes Special Secretary, Silk Department, and Joginder Singh has been appointed Special Secretary, Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department.
Madhusudan Hulgi takes charge as Special Secretary to the Chief Minister.
Suraj Patel will serve as Chief Executive Officer, UP Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad.
