Manoj Mittal, MD & CEO, IFCI Ltd.,appointed CMD, Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI)
Manoj Mittal, the current Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IFCI, has been recommended for the position of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI).
The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) interacted with more than 21 candidates on April 9 and April 10 before choosing Mittal to fill the leadership position at SIDBI. Previously, Mittal served as a Deputy Managing Director at SIDBI between January 2016 and January 2021. During his tenure, he played a crucial role in restructuring the dues of banks to microfinance institutions (MFIs) during the Andhra Pradesh MFI crisis in 2010 and was involved in the implementation of responsible lending initiatives. Additionally, he has extensive experience in designing, managing, and evaluating sustainability and developmental programs funded by multilateral agencies of the Government of India.
