The Tripura Government has announced new postings for IPS officers to enhance law enforcement and security management in the state.
Krishnendu Chakravarty has been appointed as IGP (Intelligence & Security) with an additional charge of SP (Special Branch), Agartala. Sanjoy Roy will now serve as DIG (Crime), while Prabir Majumder, DIG (Headquarters), takes on additional responsibility as DIGP, Training.
Other key assignments include: Dilip Ray, Commandant CIAT Kachucherra, who has been directed to report to the Manipur Government; Timir Das as Commandant, West Tripura Home Guard Battalion; Kallol Roy as SP (MTF) with an additional charge of STF; Sudip Kumar Pal as AIGP (Estt.), Agartala; Bikash Deb as SP, SCRB; Ranadhir Debbarma as AIGP, Law & Order; Shyamanda Sharma as SP, Anti-Narcotics; Jeremia Darong as SP, Vigilance; and Rahul Bahalara as SDPO, Dhalai.
This large-scale reshuffle highlights the state’s focus on strengthening law enforcement, crime control, and specialized policing across Tripura.
