The Uttar Pradesh government has carried out a major reshuffle of IAS officers, assigning new roles across departments and districts to streamline governance. Shiv Sahay Awasthi has been appointed CEO of the UP State Rural Road Development Authority, while Anuj Singh takes charge as Special Secretary to the Chief Minister. Abhinav Gopal is now Vice Chairman of Gorakhpur Development Authority.
Several other key postings include Ajay Jain as Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, Gorakhpur; Dr. Alka Verma as Special Secretary, Finance; and Nidhi Bansal as Director (Administration), Medical and Health Services. Divya Mittal, Chandra Shekhar, and Sameer have been assigned important roles in Revenue, Irrigation, and IT departments respectively.
At the district level, new Chief Development Officers (CDOs) have been appointed, including Prafulla Kumar Sharma in Lucknow, Neha Byadwal in Hardoi, Alok Prasad in Ghazipur, Kumar Saurabh in Ghaziabad, and Dayanand Prasad in Gonda. The reshuffle reflects the state’s focus on administrative efficiency and development-driven governance.
