In a significant overhaul of the Delhi government’s administrative machinery, 28 IAS officers have been assigned new roles.
- Sudhir Kumar has been appointed as Principal Secretary (PS), Vigilance, with the additional responsibility of Administrative Reforms (AR).
- Nikhil Kumar has been named Secretary Revenue-cum-Divisional Commissioner, alongside handling the duties of Secretary, Land & Building.
- Shilpa Shinde is the new CEO of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB).
Several other important appointments include:
- S K Jain taking over as Secretary, Art & Culture.
- Sachin Shinde becoming Managing Director (MD) of Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) with additional charge as Special Commissioner, Transport.
- Chanchal Yadav has been made Commissioner, Trade & Taxes (T&T), while also serving as Secretary, Women and Child Development (WCD).
Further appointments:
- Arti Lal Sharma is now the Special Secretary, Planning.
- S K Singh assumes the role of Special Commissioner, Trade & Taxes, with the additional responsibility of Inspector General, Delhi Prisons.
- Sanjeev Kumar Mittal has been assigned the role of Special Commissioner, Road Safety in Transport.
- Ajay Kumar Bisht has been designated as Staff Officer to the Chief Secretary, along with being Special Secretary, Vigilance.
Key leadership roles:
- Ravi Dhawan becomes the MD of DSIIDC, MD of IPGCL/PPCL.
- Ravi Jha is appointed Commissioner, Excise.
- B S Jaglan takes over as Executive Director (ED), DSIIDC, with additional duties as Special Commissioner, Industries.
- D Varma is named Member, DUSIB, with additional responsibility as ED, Delhi Financial Corporation (DFC).
Additional significant postings:
- S M Ali has been assigned Special Secretary, Urban Development (UD), with extra charge as General Manager, DTTDC.
- Vinay Kumar has been made Special Secretary, Health, with the additional role of Secretary, Home.
- Ruchika Katyal becomes Special Secretary, Art & Culture, while also holding the position of Secretary, Public Works Department (PWD).
Several deputy commissioners have also been reshuffled:
- Tapasya Raghav is now Special Commissioner, Transport and Special Secretary, Health, while serving as Project Director, CATS.
- Sachin Rana has been appointed as Additional CEO, DJB.
- Santosh Kumar Rai and Swetika Sachan will serve as Deputy Commissioners (MCD).
- Veditha Reddy and Nazuk Kumar take charge as Director and Additional Director, Education, respectively.
- Kumar Abhishek is the General Manager, DCCWS, and holds the additional post of General Manager, DSCSC.
Further moves include:
- Sunny Kumar Singh takes the role of Deputy Commissioner, New Delhi, with additional responsibility as OSD to Chief Secretary.
- Dilkhush Meena becomes Deputy Commissioner, South West.
- Lakshay Singhal is assigned as Deputy Commissioner, South East.
- Shreya Singhal has been appointed as Additional Director, Education.
This large-scale reshuffle is aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Delhi Government’s administration across various departments and sectors.
