Maharashtra IPS transfers: 9 officers assigned new roles across key Districts

In a significant administrative reshuffle dated April 21, 2026, the Maharashtra government has reassigned nine Indian Police Service (IPS) officers to crucial positions across the state.

Tushar Doshi has been appointed as Superintendent of Police (SP), Sangli, while Nikhil Pingle takes charge as SP, Satara. Sandip Ghuge has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Security, in the State Intelligence Department.

Among other key postings, Yogesh Gupta assumes the role of Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Gadchiroli Range. Neelotpal has been named SP, Kolhapur, and M. Ramesh takes over as SP, Gadchiroli. Maheshwar Reddy has been assigned as SP in the State Crime Investigation Department.

Further, Shrikant Dhivare has been posted as SP, Jalgaon, and Rajkumar Shinde will now serve as SP, Washim.

This reshuffle aims to strengthen law enforcement and administrative efficiency across Maharashtra’s districts.
