Dr. H. S. Vasekar and Dr. M. M. Gondavale, two members of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) of the 2015 batch, borne on the State Cadre of Maharashtra, have been confirmed into IAS with effect from March 2023.
This confirmation is based on their satisfactory performance during their probation period. During this period, they both held various positions in the Maharashtra government and gained valuable experience in administration and public service.
Dr. Vasekar is a MBBS graduate from the Government Medical College, Miraj, and also holds a Master of Public Health degree from the Johns Hopkins University, USA. He is currently serving as the District Collector of Amravati, Maharashtra.
Dr. Gondavale is a BE (Civil) graduate from the Shivaji University, Kolhapur, and also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Maharashtra State Rural Development Corporation.
The confirmation of Dr. Vasekar and Dr. Gondavale into IAS is a welcome development. Their experience and expertise will be valuable assets to the Maharashtra government and the people of Maharashtra.
