Roadshow in Jaipur Builds Momentum for MP Tourism Mart:
The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board successfully hosted a dynamic roadshow at Jai Mahal Hotel, Jaipur. The event fostered collaboration between tourism professionals from Rajasthan and MP, ahead of the upcoming MP Travel Mart and regional conclaves scheduled in Rewa, Gwalior, and Indore.
AMD Bidisha Mukherjee: “MP Has It All”
Addressing the gathering, Ms. Bidisha Mukherjee, Additional Managing Director, MP Tourism Board, emphasized the state’s rich cultural tapestry and natural charm. “Madhya Pradesh is not just geographically central, but emotionally central to India. From folk art to food, wildlife to spirituality, we offer holistic travel experiences that speak to the soul,” she noted.
Spotlight on Cultural and Natural Riches:
Participants enjoyed an insightful presentation on MP’s diverse tourism offerings, including:
-UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Khajuraho, Bhimbetka, and Sanchi lead the list.
-Spiritual Hubs: Jyotirlingas, Chitrakoot, Maihar, and Amarkantak.
-Cultural Heritage: Recognised intangible assets like Gond painting, Bhagoria dance, and Narmada Parikrama.
-Eco Diversity: MP holds the unique titles of Tiger, Cheetah, Gharial, and Vulture State.
Tourism Meets Investment:
The roadshow also facilitated discussions on investment opportunities, showcasing MP’s 2025 Tourism Policy which includes long-term leases, low stamp duties, and direct land allocation for ultra-mega projects.
Boosting Travel Infrastructure:
With the launch of the PM Shri Tourism Air Service, connectivity has drastically improved from hubs like Bhopal, Indore, Rewa, and Satna. Road and rail links with Rajasthan further strengthen the tourism circuit.
Luxury, Heritage, and Homestays:
Madhya Pradesh caters to all kinds of travellers—with luxury chains, royal havelis, and over 200 government-supported homestays offering authentic cultural immersion.
Film Tourism on the Rise:
Thanks to an efficient single-window Film Facilitation Cell, MP has hosted over 400 film and web projects, earning the “Most Film-Friendly State” award. Blockbusters like Stree, Sui Dhaaga, and Kota Factory, were shot here.
