Madhya Pradesh Government Reshuffles IAS Officers in Major Administrative Overhaul

The Madhya Pradesh government has carried out a major bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring and assigning new responsibilities to 29 IAS officers across key departments. Among the prominent changes, Sanjeev Singh has been appointed Secretary, Sports and Youth Welfare Department, while Karmaveer Sharma has been posted as Divisional Commissioner of Bhopal Division. Babu Singh Jamod will now serve as Secretary, Urban Development and Housing Department, and Shailendra Singh has been named Divisional Commissioner, Rewa Division.

Several senior officers have also received important assignments. Mukesh Chand Gupta has been posted as Principal Secretary, Jail Department, along with additional charge as Member, Revenue Board. Dr. E. Ramesh Kumar will serve as Principal Secretary, Revenue Department, besides holding additional responsibility as Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner. Vivek Kumar Porwal has been shifted to the Mineral Resources Department as Principal Secretary, while Deepak Singh takes over as Secretary of the Madhya Pradesh State Election Commission. Amit Tomar has been appointed Managing Director of the Energy Development Corporation and will additionally oversee the New and Renewable Energy portfolio as Commissioner.

The reshuffle also includes additional responsibilities for senior officers. K.C. Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Cottage and Rural Industries, has been entrusted with the charge of Agriculture Production Commissioner. Aniruddha Mukherjee, Chairman of the Board of Revenue, Gwalior, will additionally function as Environment Commissioner and Director General of EPCO. Gulshan Bamra has been given the additional charge of the Scheduled Caste Welfare Department, while Sonia Meena will also serve as Commissioner-cum-Director of Institutional Finance.

In another set of appointments, Neha Marvya Singh has been posted as Commissioner-cum-Director, Horticulture and Food Processing. Manoj Pushp takes over as Director, Public Health and Family Welfare, Rohit Singh has been named Director of Budget, Harshika Singh becomes Additional Secretary in the School Education Department, and Bharti Jatav Ogre has been appointed Commissioner, Accounts and Treasuries. The large-scale reshuffle is aimed at strengthening governance and accelerating administrative efficiency across the state.
