Madhya Pradesh: 14 Senior IPS officers assigned new roles

The Madhya Pradesh government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle involving 14 senior IPS officers, assigning them fresh responsibilities across key departments. Pankaj Kumar Srivastava has been posted as Special DGP, CID, Police Headquarters, with additional charge of Special DGP, Vigilance. Anant Kumar Singh has taken over as Special DGP and Managing Director, MP Police Housing Corporation, following his return from central deputation.

In other postings, K P Venkateshwar Rao has been appointed Additional DGP, Technical Services, PHQ, along with additional charge of ADGP, Anti-Naxal Operations. Umesh Joga has been posted as ADGP and Transport Commissioner, MP, Gwalior, while D Srinivas Verma takes charge as ADGP, Narcotics, with additional responsibility as ADGP, STF, PHQ. Vivek Sharma has been appointed ADGP, Police Training and Research Institute (PTRI), PHQ, and Anshuman Yadav has been named Director, Sports and Youth Welfare.

Further, Rakesh Gupta has been posted as ADGP, Ujjain Zone, Abhay Singh as ADGP (Planning), PHQ, and Harinarayan Chari Mishra as IGP, State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB). Sanjay Kumar has been appointed Commissioner of Police, Bhopal, while Sanjay Tiwari takes charge as IGP, Bhopal (Dehat) Zone. Ms Chaitra N has been posted as IGP, Shahdol Zone, and Lalit Shakyawar has been appointed IGP, Balaghat Zone.
