Kerala High Court gets 6 Addltional Judges

The Ministry of Law and Justice has announced the appointment of six advocates as Additional Judges of the Kerala High Court. The appointments were notified following the recommendations by the Supreme Court Collegium on March 12, 2024. The new judges, appointed for a term of two years, are:

Mullappally Abdul Aziz Abdul Hakhim – An expert in constitutional and tax cases, he is the son of the late senior advocate MM Abdul Aziz and hails from Perumbavoor.

Syam Kumar Vadakke Mudavakkat – Practicing since 2000, he has been involved in notable cases like the Tanur boat accident and the Enrica Lexi case.

Harisankar Vijayan Menon – Began his practice in 1997 and is the son of the eminent lawyer late Arikkattu Vijayan Menon2.

Manu Sreedharan Nair – A Kottayam native who started practicing in 1998, he has served as Deputy Solicitor General and Assistant Solicitor General of India.

Easwaran Subramani – Known for his expertise in banking, insurance, and service laws, he is the son of senior advocate E Subramani.

Manoj Pulamby Madhavan – Specializing in constitutional matters, service, and criminal laws, he began his practice in 1999 and has also worked as a government pleader.

They are set to be sworn in at a function held at the high court. This move will contribute to the judiciary’s efforts to reduce pendency and enhance the administration of justice.
