The Karnataka government has issued fresh transfer and posting orders for three senior IPS officers, assigning them to important policing and security roles within the state.
According to the latest appointments, senior IPS officer Sandeep Patil has been posted as Inspector General of Police (IGP), Northern Range. Dr Chetan Singh Rathor has been appointed as IGP, CID (Economic Offences), where he will oversee investigations related to financial and economic crimes.
Meanwhile, Dr Anupam Agrawal has been given charge as IGP of the Karnataka State Reserve Police, a key force responsible for maintaining law and order and supporting security operations across Karnataka.
The latest IPS reshuffle is seen as part of the state government’s effort to strengthen policing, intelligence coordination, and administrative efficiency in the police department.
