Kahnu Charan Samantaray has been appointed as the Inspector General (Admin) at the Force Headquarters (FHQ) of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in New Delhi. His appointment follows his empanelment for holding the IG rank post within the CISF.
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) was established in 1969 with the primary objective of providing integrated security cover to sensitive public sector undertakings. Initially, it had only three battalions, but over time, it has grown into a premier multi-skilled organization with a current strength of 177,713 personnel.
