K Moses Chalai appointed as Secretary, Inter State Council Secretariat detail
K Moses Chalai, a 1990 batch IAS officer of the Manipur cadre, has been appointed as the Secretary of the Inter State Council Secretariat. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved his appointment on February 3, 2024\
Prior to this, Chalai served as the Secretary of the North Eastern Council Secretariat under the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region.
The Inter State Council Secretariat is a constitutional body established under Article 263 of the Constitution of India. It is tasked with facilitating cooperation and coordination between states on matters of national interest.
