A major round of appointments has brought fresh leadership across several central departments. Anbalagan P and Sanjay Kumar Agarwal have been appointed as Joint Secretaries in the Ministry of Agriculture. In related fields, Muthukumarasamy takes charge in Animal Husbandry, and Raman Kumar steps into the role for the Ministry of Cooperation.
Defence ministries have also seen key additions with Ms. Ishita Ganguli Tripathy joining Defence and Ms. Manisha Chandra and Ms. Meera Mohanty taking over roles in Defence Production. Meanwhile, Vyasan R now serves in Economic Affairs, and Ajit Kumar and Amod Kumar are appointed in the Ministry of Electronics and IT.
In the education and empowerment sectors, Ms. Smita Srivastava now heads Higher Education, and Ms. Sumita Singh takes charge in the Department for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. Chinmay Pundlikrao Gotmare has been assigned to the Department of Expenditure, and More Ashish Madhaorao has taken up the post in Financial Services. NHRC sees a new face in Ms. Saidingpuii Chhakchhuak, while Krishna Kumar Nirala joins the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.
Further appointments include Ashutosh A.T. Pednekar in Labour, Milind Dharmrao Ramteke in MSME, Ms. Nidhi Kesarwani in DPIIT, and Ms. Swarnashree Rao Rajashekar in the Department of Space.
