Jammu and Kashmir Police Headquarters has ordered the transfer and posting of 12 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) and assigned new roles to six AGMUT-cadre IPS officers with immediate effect.
The reshuffle was ordered by Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat on October 14, 2026. The six IPS officers have been posted to various Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) positions after completing their Phase-II basic course training and joining the Jammu and Kashmir segment.
Six IPS Officers Get New Assignments in J&K:
As per the transfer order, the following IPS officers have been assigned new responsibilities:
- Kumari Someya – ASP Headquarters, Jammu.
- Daniel Raj C – ASP Headquarters, Budgam.
- Aditi Verma – SDPO West Srinagar.
- Chaitanya Giri – SDPO R.S. Pura.
- Anant Dhanraj Singh – SDPO Bari Brahmana.
- Ayush Mani Chaudhary – SDPO Nowshera.
J&K Police Transfer List: 12 DSPs Reassigned:
The Jammu and Kashmir Police reshuffle also includes changes in the postings of 12 DSPs across various police units.
- Sahil Mahajan: Transferred from SDPO Nowshera to SDPO Nagrota.
- Farha Nishat: Shifted from DSP Headquarters, Jammu, to DSP, Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Jammu.
- Majad Mehboob: Transferred from SDPO West Srinagar to TMG, CID Headquarters.
- Sajad Ahmad Mir: Moved from DSP STWS Jammu to DSP 19 JKAP IR.
- Sartaj Ahmad: Transferred from DSP Railways, Anantnag, to DSP 21 JKAP IR.
- Abdul Ghafoor: Shifted from SDPO Sader to DSP Railways, Anantnag.
- Sajad Ahmad Malik: Transferred from DSP Headquarters, Budgam, to SDPO Sader.
- Pardeep Singh Sen: Moved from SDPO Bari Brahmana to DSP, State Investigation Agency (SIA), Jammu.
- Sajad Ahmad: Transferred from DSP Traffic Ramban to DSP STWS Jammu.
- Sanjeev Singh Slathia: Shifted from DSP SIA Jammu to DSP EOW Jammu against the OAR post of DSP.
- Gurmeet Singh: Transferred from SDPO R.S. Pura to DSP Security Jammu.
- Vinod Kumar: Moved from SDPO Nagrota to DSP Traffic Ramban.
The order directs all concerned officers to be relieved of their existing assignments immediately and assume their new responsibilities.
The reshuffle covers several key police formations and units, including the State Investigation Agency (SIA), Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Criminal Investigation Department (CID), traffic police, railway police, security and Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police formations.
