The Jharkhand government has carried out a major bureaucratic reshuffle by transferring and assigning new responsibilities to 36 IAS officers across key departments. The large-scale administrative exercise is aimed at strengthening governance, improving departmental coordination, and accelerating developmental initiatives across the state.
Among the prominent appointments, Chhavi Ranjan has been posted as Director, Sports, along with additional charge as Executive Director of the Jharkhand Sports Authority. Shashi Prakash Jha has been appointed Managing Director of the Jharkhand Medical and Health Infrastructure Corporation, while Zishan Qamar has been made Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum.
Rajiv Ranjan will now serve as Director, Information Technology, and will additionally hold the responsibilities of CEO, JAP IT, and CEO, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Innovation Lab. Sunil Kumar Singh has been appointed Director, Agriculture, whereas Vijay Kumar Gupta has been given charge as Managing Director of JUIDCO along with additional responsibility of JIADA.
Faiz Aq Ahmed Mumtaz has been named Managing Director of the Jharkhand State Food Corporation, while Bhor Singh Yadav has been posted as Divisional Commissioner (In-charge), North Chotanagpur Division. Varun Ranjan has been assigned as Additional Secretary in the Department of Revenue, Registration and Land Reforms.
Satyendra Kumar has been transferred as Additional Secretary, Department of Forest, Environment and Climate Change, with additional charge of Managing Director, Jharkhand Exploration and Mining Corporation. Pashupati Nath Mishra has been appointed Deputy Commissioner of Garhwa, and Madhavi Mishra has been entrusted with the post of Director, Information Technology, alongside additional responsibilities as Director, JSAC and CEO, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Innovation Lab.
Ananya Mittal has been posted as CEO of JSLPS, while Mrs Jadhav Vijaya Narayan Rao has taken charge as Additional Secretary in the Department of Women, Child Development and Social Security. R Ronita has been appointed Additional Secretary, Water Resources Department, and Naman Priyesh Lakra will serve as Director, Tourism.
Anjali Yadav has been posted as Controller of Examinations, JCECEB, with additional charge in the Department of Higher and Technical Education. Vidyanand Sharma Pankaj has been named Director, Agriculture, and Robin Toppo has been appointed Director, Animal Husbandry.
The reshuffle also includes the appointment of Alok Shikari Kachhap as Managing Director of the ST Cooperative Development Corporation along with additional responsibility as Director of Dr Ram Dayal Munda Tribal Research Institute. Anilson Lakra has been posted as Inspector General, Registration, while Neeraj Kumar Singh has been made Excise Commissioner and Managing Director of Jharkhand State Beverages Corporation.
Karan Satyarthi has been appointed Additional Secretary in the Finance Department, and Garima Singh has been posted as Managing Director, Jharkraft, along with additional charge as CEO of the Chief Minister’s Small and Cottage Enterprises Development Board.
Chandan Kumar will serve as Additional Secretary, Industries Department, with additional responsibility as CEO, JAP-IT. Preeti Rani has been appointed Director, Directorate of Handlooms, Sericulture and Handicrafts, besides being given charge as MD-cum-CEO of Mati Kala Board.
Prerana Dixit has been posted as Additional Secretary, Rural Development Department, while Shashi Prakash Singh has been assigned to the Department of Health and Medical Education with additional responsibilities in Arogya Society and AIDS Control projects.
Kumar Tarachand has been transferred as Additional Secretary, Water Resources Department, while Keerthisree G has been appointed Additional Secretary in the Department of Home, Prisons and Disaster Management. Sameera S has been made Joint Secretary, School Education and Literacy Department, and Dinesh Kumar Yadav joins as Joint Secretary, Health and Medical Education.
In district-level changes, Saurabh Kumar Bhuwania has been posted as Deputy Commissioner, Deoghar, Mohammad Javed Hussain as Deputy Commissioner, Khunti, Shrikant Vishyute Yashwant as Deputy Development Commissioner, Godda, and Animesh Ranjan as Deputy Development Commissioner, Gumla.
