In a landmark event marking International Day of Yoga 2025, India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), under the Ministry of Tourism, hosted a large-scale yoga session at The Ashok, New Delhi, in collaboration with SCOPE.
The session, guided by experts from the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY), drew over 100 participants from 25 PSUs, with dignitaries from Bharat Petroleum, NBCC, NHPC, ECIL, ITI, and others lending their presence.
Themed ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’, the event celebrated unity, mindfulness, and wellness within the public sector. Senior officials from the Department of Public Enterprises and Ministry of Finance also joined the initiative, reflecting a deep-rooted shift towards workplace well-being. Ms. Mugdha Sinha, IAS, MD of ITDC, highlighted yoga’s essence as a transformative journey towards holistic leadership and balanced living.
Echoing the sentiment, NBCC CMD and SCOPE Chairman K P Mahadevaswamy praised the collective participation of PSU leaders and emphasized wellness as a pillar of public sector governance. This first-of-its-kind collaborative effort underscores ITDC’s broader mission to embed wellness into institutional culture—turning The Ashok into more than just a venue, but a symbol of mindful leadership and purpose-driven collaboration.
