IPS Rajnish Seth has been appointed as the Chairman of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission

IPS Rajnish Seth has been appointed as the Chairman of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC), while IPS Rashmi Shukla has been appointed as the Director General of Police (DGP) for the state.

Rajnish Seth, an IPS officer from the 1988 batch, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC).
The position of MPSC Chairman became vacant after the retirement of Kishorraje Nimbalkar.
Seth’s appointment is subject to the approval of the Governor .

Once approved, Seth will take voluntary retirement ahead of his scheduled retirement date of December.

Rashmi Shukla as DGP:

Rashmi Shukla, also an IPS officer from the 1988 batch, has been appointed as the Director General of Police (DGP) for Maharashtra.
Shukla is currently heading the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) on central deputation.
She will replace Rajnish Seth as the DGP of Maharashtra.
Shukla’s appointment provides her with a stipulated two-year term as the DGP.
