N. Venu Gopal, a senior IPS officer of the Himachal Pradesh cadre, has been inducted as the Joint Director (JD) of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a period of five years on deputation basis.
Additionally, Supriya Patil Yadav, a 2004-batch IPS officer of the Maharashtra cadre, has been appointed as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the CBI on a lateral shift basis from the Intelligence Bureau.
