Senior IAS officer Saurabh Vijay has officially assumed charge as the Chief Executive Officer of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). He took over the position on Monday.
Saurabh Vijay is a 1998-batch IAS officer of the Maharashtra cadre and brings extensive administrative experience to the role. UIDAI, the authority responsible for Aadhaar operations and digital identity management in India, plays a crucial role in the country’s digital governance ecosystem.
His appointment as CEO of UIDAI is expected to further strengthen Aadhaar-related services and digital identity initiatives across the nation.
