At the picturesque Visva-Bharati campus in Santiniketan, Confluence 2025 marked a landmark moment as the first-ever Industry–Academia Meet, bringing together visionary leaders, educators, and innovators to chart the roadmap for India’s future in education, technology, and nation-building.
The event was graced by Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Education, Prof. T.G. Sitharam, Chairman of AICTE, and Dr. Probir Kumar Ghosh, Vice-Chancellor, Visva-Bharati, among other distinguished guests and academic luminaries.
Dr. S.P. Mohanty, Managing Director, Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL), chaired the Technical Session on “Capacity Building: Placements, Skill Development, Internship, and Student Exchange”. In his insightful address, Dr. Mohanty emphasized the pivotal role of industry–academia partnerships in bridging the skill gap, promoting innovation, and preparing a future-ready workforce capable of driving sustainable national growth.
