Haryana government reshuffles Seven IPS officers; ATS, Panchkula and CID witness key changes

In a fresh round of administrative changes, the Haryana government has transferred seven IPS officers, introducing new appointments across the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), Commissionerate Police, Crime Investigation Department (CID), Police Headquarters (PHQ), and Welfare Wing.

The latest reshuffle is aimed at strengthening the state’s security apparatus and improving coordination among specialised policing units.

Key IPS Postings:

Pankaj Nain (IPS:2007), presently serving as Special Officer for Community Policing and Outreach in the Chief Minister’s Office, has been assigned the additional responsibility of Commissioner of Police, Panchkula.

Nazneen Bhasin (IPS:2007), Inspector General of Police, Bhondsi, will now also oversee the Anti-Terrorism Squad as IGP, ATS.

Varun Singla (IPS:2017) has been shifted from SP, Security, CID, to Superintendent of Police, Anti-Terrorism Squad.

Lokinder Singh (IPS:2014) has also been transferred from Security CID and posted as SP, Anti-Terrorism Squad.

Upasna (IPS:2017) has been moved from CID to the ATS, further reinforcing the specialised anti-terror unit.

Among the younger officers, Shristi Gupta (IPS:2021) has been transferred from Deputy Commissioner of Police, Panchkula, to Assistant Inspector General (Welfare), Police Headquarters.

Aditi Singh (IPS:2021) has been appointed Deputy Commissioner of Police, Panchkula, after serving as Superintendent of Police, State Vigilance Bureau and Anti-Corruption Bureau.

Strengthening Specialised Policing:

The latest Haryana IPS transfer list highlights the government’s continued emphasis on reinforcing counter-terror operations, intelligence-led policing, urban law enforcement, and police welfare administration. The appointments are expected to enhance operational preparedness and improve coordination among Haryana’s specialised police units.
