Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has issued a clarification addressing misleading posts circulating on social media platform X, which claim that PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has been selected to benchmark HAL’s R&D activities. HAL firmly stated that no consultancy firm has been finalized yet for the project.

The company had earlier released a Request for Quotation (RFQ) to identify a suitable consultancy to benchmark its R&D framework against global Aerospace and Defence standards. This initiative is in line with recommendations from the high-power committee on Public Undertakings, aimed at enhancing HAL’s modernization efforts.
HAL emphasized that the selection is still in progress and is being conducted transparently through the Government of India’s GEM Portal, in strict adherence to procurement norms. It reaffirmed that no work order has been issued thus far, and any contrary reports are baseless and premature. HAL reiterated its commitment to fair and transparent procurement processes.
