Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), a leading Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Defence, has achieved ‘Maharatna’ status, allowing it greater autonomy in strategic and financial decisions.The Finance Ministry approved this esteemed upgrading.
In the financial year 2023-24, HAL recorded a turnover of ₹28,162 crore and a net profit of ₹7,595 crore. With this designation, HAL becomes the 14th Maharatna CPSE.
