In a sweeping bureaucratic overhaul, the Government of Gujarat has transferred and assigned new roles to 18 IAS officers across the state, reinforcing its administrative framework. D D Jadeja has been named Mission Director of the Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission under the Science & Technology Department, highlighting the state’s focus on innovation-led development. N V Upadhyay steps in as Collector of Gir-Somnath, while Nitin V Sangwan takes charge as Director of Employment and Training in Gandhinagar, relieving K D Lakhani from the additional responsibility.
Other significant changes include C C Kotak’s posting as Deputy Director General at SPIPA, Ahmedabad; Ms. V I Patel taking over as Additional Commissioner and CEO of the Gujarat Municipal Finance Board; and Ms. P A Ninama appointed as Director (Women Welfare) and MD of the Gujarat Women Economic Development Corporation. Junagadh will see H P Patel as the new District Development Officer, and D K Brahmbhatt will now lead the Gujarat Medical Services Corporation as its MD.
M P Pandya has been appointed Registrar of Co-operative Societies, while K P Joshi assumes the role of MD at Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Ltd., relieving Preeti Sharma. Additional appointments include B M Patel as Regional Commissioner of Municipalities, J K Jadav as Executive Director of GSTDREIS, and R V Vala as Additional Development Commissioner. Furthermore, N F Chaudhari has been posted as MD, Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Ltd.; Ms. Kavita Rakesh Shah becomes Director of IT and E-Governance; and B D Davera steps in as CEO of Vadodara Urban Development Authority. S K Patel has been appointed MD of Gujarat Livelihood Promotion Company Ltd., and Ms. Preeti Sharma has been designated as Director (Administration) at Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd., Vadodara.
