In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Bihar Government has assigned new responsibilities to several IAS officers across key departments. Harjot Kaur Bamhrah, Additional Chief Secretary of the Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department, has now been given additional charge as Chairman-cum-Member of the Revenue Board. Mihir Kumar Singh, serving as ACS in the Industries Department, will also take on the role of Director General-cum-Chief Investigation Commissioner.
Ashima Jain has been appointed Additional Member of the Revenue Board and will continue her additional charge as Investigation Commissioner under the General Administration Department. Rachna Patil has been posted as Secretary in the Expenditure wing of the Finance Department, while Ujjwal Kumar Singh takes over as Director of Animal Husbandry.
Additional appointments include Sanjay Kumar as Director General of the Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development, and Arvind Kumar Verma as Special Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat. Satyendra Kumar Singh and Mahavir Prasad Sharma have been appointed Additional Secretaries in the Information & Public Relations and Finance Departments respectively.
Yashpal Meena will serve as Director, Handloom and Silk Directorate, and Krishna Kumar has been made Director of Museum, Art, Culture, and Youth. Ashutosh Dwivedi, currently Joint Secretary in the Building Construction Department, has also been given the additional charge of State Transport Commissioner.
