In a significant judicial development, the President of India has approved the appointment of five new Judges to the Allahabad High Court. The newly appointed Judges are: Pramod Kumar Srivastava, Abdul Shahid, Santosh Rai, Tej Pratap Tiwari, and Zafeer Ahmad.
All five were serving judicial officers before their elevation. This move is expected to strengthen the judicial capacity of one of the country’s busiest high courts, aiding in faster disposal of cases and improved access to justice in Uttar Pradesh.
