Rajiv Mishra, Chief General Manager with Union Bank of India, has been appointed as ED of Bank of India.

Dhanaraj T has been appointed as ED, Indian Overseas Bank.
These appointments were made by the Union government on October 7, 2023, based on the recommendations of the Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB).

The FSIB is a government body that is responsible for recommending appointments to top positions in PSBs. The FSIB’s recommendations are based on a rigorous selection process that includes interviews with candidates and assessments of their qualifications and experience.

The appointment of new EDs is important for the PSBs, as they play a key role in the Indian economy. The PSBs account for over 70% of the country’s banking assets, and they play a vital role in financing the economy’s growth.

The new EDs are expected to bring their experience and expertise to the PSBs, and help them to improve their performance and profitability. They are also expected to help the PSBs to play a more active role in the government’s initiatives to promote financial inclusion and economic growth.
