Dr. Y R S Rao, currently serving as Scientist ‘G’ at the National Institute of Hydrology (NIH), Roorkee, has been elevated to the position of Director at the same institution. His appointment is expected to strengthen research and policy frameworks in the field of hydrological sciences in India.
