DP World, Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), and Nevomo have entered into a tripartite MoU to pilot cutting-edge MagRail technology for self-propelled cargo movement within Indian ports. Signed on July 15 in Kandla, Gujarat, this collaboration seeks to integrate autonomous, electric-powered freight systems into existing port rail infrastructure.
The initiative will significantly enhance cargo efficiency, reduce emissions, and support India’s vision for smart, sustainable logistics. Senior executives, including DPA Chairman Sushil Kumar Singh, DP World’s Rizwan Soomar, and Nevomo’s CEO Przemek Paczek, affirmed their commitment to transformative, eco-friendly port operations.
