Deepak Gupta, currently serving as Director (Projects) at GAIL (India) Limited, has been selected for the post of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the company.
The appointment was finalized after a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) meeting held on November 6, 2025, where 12 candidates were interviewed for the coveted position.
With his vast experience in project execution and strategic management, Gupta is expected to steer GAIL towards greater growth and operational excellence in India’s energy sector.
