Chandigarh, October 24, 2026: The Chandigarh Administration has assigned new administrative charges to 10 HCS, DANICS and PCS officers following the joining of Gaurav Kumar, Pardeep Ahlawat and Jagtap Kalyani Rajendra. The order reallocates responsibilities across municipal administration, transport, urban planning, social welfare, tourism, industries and other departments.
HCS officer Gaurav Kumar has been assigned the charges of Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh; Director, Rural Development and Panchayat; Secretary, Municipal Corporation; and Additional Chief Executive Officer, Chandigarh Smart City Limited.
Pradhuman Singh, HCS, has been assigned the posts of Controller-cum-Joint Secretary, Printing and Stationery; Additional Excise and Taxation Commissioner-cum-Collector; and Secretary, Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA). Radhika Singh, HCS, will serve as Assistant Estate Officer-III, Registering and Licensing Authority, Joint Secretary (Home, including Jails), Joint Secretary (Environment and Forests), and Joint Secretary (Technical Education).
Pardeep Ahlawat, HCS, has been assigned the posts of Director, Transport-cum-Divisional Manager, CTU; Secretary, State Transport Authority; and Joint Secretary, Coordination/Protocol.
Among the PCS officers, Avikesh Gupta has been assigned the charges of Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh, and Director, Information Technology. Himanshu Gupta will handle Urban Planning and Metro, Estate, Housing, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate (South).
Isha Kamboj, HCS, has been given responsibilities in Social Welfare, the Chandigarh SC, BC and Minorities Financial and Development Corporation, Child and Women Development Corporation, child rights protection, Local Government, Museum and Art Gallery, and Health.
Naveen, DANICS, has been assigned the posts of Director, Museum and Art Gallery; Director, Tourism; Director, Cultural Affairs; and Chief General Manager, CITCO.
Khushpreet Kaur, DANICS, will serve as General Manager, District Industries Centre, and Director, Industries. Her additional charges include Joint Secretary (Industries, Transport, and Excise and Taxation), Assistant Estate Officer-II, Land Acquisition Officer, and Administrator, Market Committee.
Jagtap Kalyani Rajendra, DANICS, has been assigned the posts of Director, Agriculture; Agriculture Census Commissioner; and Director, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries.
Atul Nivruttirao Dhakne, DANICS, has been assigned the charges of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Central), Director, AYUSH, and Joint Director (Administration), GMCH.
The order was issued with the approval of the Administrator, Union Territory of Chandigarh. It was signed by Chief Secretary Hiriadka Rajesh Prasad, IAS, and dated October 23, 2026.
