Centre appoints new secretaries across major ministries

In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved several high-level appointments across key ministries. Ms. Anuradha Thakur has been named the new Secretary of Economic Affairs, while Rajesh Agarwal steps in as Special Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce. Arvind Shrivastava takes over as Secretary, Revenue, and Vivek Aggarwal has been appointed as Secretary, Culture. Santosh Kumar Sarangi will now lead the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy as Secretary.

The Youth Affairs Ministry will see Ms. Pallavi Jain Govil as its new Secretary, and Ms. Nidhi Chhibber has been entrusted with the role of Secretary, Food Processing Industries. In the aviation sector, Samir Kumar Sinha has been appointed as Secretary, Civil Aviation. Meanwhile, Hari Ranjan has taken charge as Secretary, Sports. Additionally, Rajesh Kumar Sinha has been designated as Special Secretary in-situ in the Ministry of Ports, and Ms. Ranajan Chopra has been appointed as Special Secretary in-situ in the Ministry of Culture.
