BEL receives orders worth Rs. 1,292 Cr

Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has secured orders worth Rs. 1,292 crore, further solidifying its position as a key player in India’s defense sector. A major contract valued at Rs. 1,034 crore (excluding taxes) was signed with the Ministry of Defence for the supply of Software Defined Radios (SDRs) and Data Communication Terminals (DCTs) for the Indian Coast Guard. These state-of-the-art radios, jointly developed by DEAL (DRDO) and BEL, support multi-band, multi-channel, and multi-role operations, catering to the needs of Network Centric Warfare. The DCT system ensures secure, reliable, and high-speed communication between shore and ships, critical for mission success.

In addition to this, BEL has secured other orders worth Rs. 258 crore, which include Earth Stations for Satellite Communication, Laser Range Finders, Fire Control Centers, Command and Control Posts, Communication Equipment for Weapon Systems, Head-up Displays, spares, and services. With these new orders, the total accumulated orders received by BEL during the current financial year now stand at Rs. 13,147 crore, reflecting the company’s robust performance and continued contribution to India’s defense modernization efforts.
