Anil Nautiyal appointed as India’s ambassador to South Sudan

Senior diplomat Anil Nautiyal, a 2004-batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer, has been appointed as India’s next Ambassador to the Republic of South Sudan. Currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Nautiyal brings extensive diplomatic experience to his new role.

His appointment underscores India’s focus on strengthening bilateral ties with South Sudan, particularly in areas such as trade, development cooperation, and diplomatic relations. With his expertise in foreign affairs, Nautiyal is expected to play a pivotal role in fostering closer engagement between the two nations.
