The Andhra Pradesh Government has undertaken a major bureaucratic reshuffle, assigning new responsibilities to 20 IAS officers across several crucial departments and institutions. The latest changes cover Tourism & Culture, School Education, Infrastructure, Health, Housing, Revenue, Urban Development, Disaster Management and other key areas.
The reshuffle also includes several Full Additional Charge (FAC) arrangements and changes in the deployment of officers awaiting posting.
Key Appointments and Changes:
- Shamsher Singh Rawat has been appointed Special Chief Secretary to Government, Tourism & Culture, YAT&C Department. He will also hold FAC of Special Chief Secretary, Youth Services & Sports, YAT&C; Special Chief Secretary, Services & HRM, GAD; and Special Chief Secretary, GPM & AR, GAD.
- J Syamala Rao has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, School Education Department. He will additionally hold FAC of Principal Secretary, Higher Education; Principal Secretary, Skill Development & Training; and Principal Secretary, Political, GAD.
- Dr Narayana Bharath Gupta has been assigned the role of Joint Special Officer, Godavari Pushkaralu, alongside his regular duties.
- Mutyalaraju Revu has been posted as Commissioner, Archaeology & Museums.
- K Venkata Krishna, reappointed as Additional Secretary to Government and OSD to the Deputy Chief Minister, will also hold FAC of Commissioner, AP State Institute of Rural Development, PR & RD.
- K V N Chakradhara Babu, Director, Secondary Health, has been given FAC of Commissioner, Health & Family Welfare and Managing Director, National Health Mission.
- Kona Sasidhar has been appointed Secretary, TR&B Department, while also holding FAC of Secretary, Infrastructure & Investment Department.
- Amrapali Kata (IAS: 2010), Managing Director, APTDC, has been withdrawn from the YAT&C Department and directed to report to GAD for further posting.
- Pattanshetti Ravi Subash will take over as Managing Director, APTDC and will also hold FAC of CEO, APTA and Secretary, APPSC.
- S Suresh Kumar has been appointed Special Officer, Godavari Pushkaralu, in addition to his existing responsibilities.
- Hephsiba Rani Korlapati has been appointed Special Secretary, Housing Department, with additional FAC responsibilities as Vice Chairman & Managing Director, AP State Housing Corporation and Commissioner, AP Weaker Sections Housing Programme.
- Chetan TS, Joint Secretary, Office of CCLA, has been given FAC of Director, Disaster Management and Executive Officer/Deputy Secretary to Government.
- Dr A Sharath (IAS, Retd.) has been re-employed as Joint Executive Officer (Health & Education).
- Prabhala Gopinadh, who was awaiting posting, has been placed at the disposal of the Revenue (Endowments) Department for appointment as Joint Executive Officer (Health & Education), Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), Tirupati.
- A.A.L. Padmavathi will assume charge as Chief Executive Officer, NTR Vaidya Seva Trust.
- M Jayakrishna has been placed at the disposal of the Municipal Administration & Urban Development (MA&UD) Department for posting as Municipal Commissioner, Tirupati Municipal Corporation.
- B. Anil Kumar Reddy has been directed to report to GAD for further posting.
- N Tej Bharath has been withdrawn from the MA&UD Department and directed to report to GAD for further posting.
- Prakhar Jain has been appointed Metropolitan Commissioner, Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA).
- Geetanjali Sharma, Managing Director, AP State Fibernet Ltd, has been given FAC of CEO, RTGS.
- P Arun Babu has been withdrawn from the Housing Department and posted as Director General, Drug Control Administration. He will also hold FAC of Director, AYUSH.
