Senior IPS officer Anand Swaroop has been appointed as the Director General (Investigation) at the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC). His tenure will continue until his superannuation on August 31, 2029.
Swaroop is a 1992 batch officer from the Uttar Pradesh cadre, known for his extensive experience in law enforcement and investigative services. His appointment is expected to strengthen the NHRC’s efforts in ensuring transparency, accountability, and justice in human rights cases across the country.
