Amit Kumar, currently the Executive Director (ED) of ONGC, has been selected as the Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of AI Assets Holding Limited (AIAHL) during a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) meeting on October 14, 2024.
AI Assets Holding Ltd. is responsible for managing the non-core assets and liabilities of Air India following its privatization.
Kumar was chosen from a pool of seven candidates interviewed for the position, highlighting his leadership abilities and extensive experience in the public sector.
His appointment is expected to play a key role in furthering the strategic objectives of AIAHL.
