BENGALURU: The Karnataka government has ordered the transfer of four senior officers belonging to the IAS, IPS and IFS cadres as part of a fresh administrative reshuffle. The latest changes involve key assignments in police administration, child protection, industrial development, construction workers’ welfare and forest administration.
The transfers have resulted in new responsibilities for three officers, while one IPS officer has been placed awaiting a fresh posting.
Nisha James, IPS, has been shifted from her post as Superintendent of Police (Intelligence). She has been appointed Director of the Integrated Child Protection Scheme.
In her new role, the IPS officer will be associated with the administration and implementation of child protection and welfare-related programmes in the state.
Gangu Bai Ramesh Manakar, IAS, has been transferred from her position as Managing Director of the Karnataka State Small Industries Development Corporation (KSSIDC).
She has now been posted as Secretary, Karnataka Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. The new assignment moves her from industrial development administration to the welfare and institutional administration of construction workers.
Ravi D. Channannavar, IPS, has also been transferred in the latest Karnataka government reshuffle.
Following the transfer, he has been placed awaiting a fresh posting. The transfer order does not mention a new assignment for the IPS officer at this stage.
Prashanth P.K.M., IFS, has been transferred from his position as Managing Director of Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited (KSDL).
He has been appointed Deputy Conservator of Forests (DCF), Forest Headquarters. With this posting, the IFS officer moves back to the forest administration after serving as the head of KSDL.

The latest Karnataka government transfer order covers four officers from different services and brings changes across several important departments. The reshuffle includes appointments related to child protection, construction workers’ welfare, policing, industrial development and forest administration.
