The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a significant IAS reshuffle, bringing changes across divisional administration, the Revenue Council and several major state departments. The latest postings involve senior officers being moved to important field and policy-making roles.
A notable change has been made in the Aligarh and Moradabad divisions. Sangeeta Singh, formerly Divisional Commissioner, Aligarh, has been appointed Divisional Commissioner, Moradabad. She takes over from Anjaneya Kumar Singh, whose deputation concluded on August 14. He has subsequently been sent back to his parent Sikkim cadre.
Om Prakash Arya, who was serving as Member (Judicial), Revenue Council, Prayagraj, will now head the Aligarh division as its new Divisional Commissioner.
Major Changes in Ayush and Rural Development:
The government has also revamped the senior leadership of the Ayush and Rural Development departments. Gauri Shankar Priyadarshi, previously Commissioner and Secretary, Rural Development, has been appointed Director General, Ayush, along with the charge of Mission Director, National Ayush Mission, Uttar Pradesh.
Meanwhile, Pramod Kumar Upadhyay, who was Secretary, Social Welfare, has been moved to the post of Commissioner, Rural Development, Uttar Pradesh.
Ravindra Kumar Gets Urban Development Charge:
In another important posting, Ravindra Kumar has been appointed Secretary, Urban Development Department. With the new assignment, he has been relieved of his additional responsibilities as Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Urban), and State Mission Director, AMRUT.
Dr Raj Shekhar, earlier Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Rural), has been appointed Secretary, Planning Department, while also taking charge as Director General, Economics and Statistics.
Yogesh Kumar, formerly Commissioner and Registrar, Cooperation, has been appointed Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Rural).
More IAS Officers Receive New Postings:
The administrative changes also include several other senior officers. Devendra Kumar Pandey has been posted as Special Secretary, Consumer Affairs Department, after serving in the Agriculture Production Commissioner Branch.
Vivek Srivastava, formerly Secretary, Lucknow Development Authority, has been appointed Special Secretary, Animal Husbandry Department.
Amrit Tripathi, who was Secretary, Higher Education Department, will now serve as Member (Judicial), Revenue Council, Prayagraj. Om Prakash Rai, who held the judicial member position, has been posted as Special Secretary, Higher Education Department.
The latest Uttar Pradesh IAS transfers represent a broad administrative realignment, with experienced bureaucrats being assigned crucial responsibilities in revenue, urban development, rural development, Ayush, planning, higher education and other key sectors.
